When is a tyre considered defective?

A tyre is considered defective primarily when it is worn to or beyond the breaker strip. The breaker strip is a critical component of the tyre’s structure, providing stability and strength. Once the tread is worn down to this layer, it indicates that the tyre has reached the end of its usable life and can be at risk of failure.
